Usage

The Upcoming Events block is ideal for:

• Company events and conferences
• Tradeshows and expos with booth information
• One-on-one meeting locations and office hours
• Webinars and workshops

Event Types

Each event has a type (Event, Tradeshow, Meeting, Conference, Webinar, Workshop, Seminar, Networking, Training, Summit, Demo, Panel) which affects color coding. Use Custom to enter your own label (e.g., Open House, Hackathon).

Past Events

Add an optional End date (YYYY-MM-DD) to each event. Events with an end date in the past are automatically moved to a "Past Events" section at the bottom. Use Past event link and Past event link text for different CTAs when the event is past (e.g., "View Recap", "Watch Replay"). Leave empty for recurring events — they stay in Upcoming. Uncheck "Show past events" to hide past events entirely.

Build vs. runtime: The upcoming/past split is computed when the page is rendered. With static site generation (typical for VitePress), that happens at build time — you need to rebuild for events to move from upcoming to past. With runtime content fetching, it would be dynamic.
